Don't let the size of this book intimidate you. I loved reading it so much that I was sad to finish it. The book is thoroughly well researched and includes pictures of the great Torah Gedolim as well as Rebitzen Kaplan, teachers and students. It includes the complete story of Sarah Schenirer and the development of Bais Yakov in Europe, the stories of the various Yeshivas in Europe, immigration to America as well as the development of the Bais Yakov movement in the midst of increasing secularization and materialism of American Jews. The story of Rabbi Kaplan is fascinating. He was one of the great Torah scholars at the time who gave it up to fund raise for the school. The author interviewed all the first year graduates, the teachers, the children and grandchildren of Rebbitzen Kaplan as a work of love to someone who influenced thousands of Jewish young women in America.
